The bucket

Do you have a bucket list?

I've had a secret bucket list for almost a decade.  I don't know why I felt so silly about it.

I have often felt like a lot of the things on my list weren't worthy of a bucket list.  As if something important to me needs validation from someone else.  The crazy thing is....I don't have to do the same thing as everyone else.  I don't have to like the same things, or value the same things as everyone else.  I'm trying to start living my life the way I want to.  I'm no longer focusing on being the person I think others want me to be.  It sounds like a DUH,  Mandy kind of thing, I know.  It just hadn't occurred to me that I was not living authentically.  I remain a work in progress.

Chaos Again....

I am in the process of moving back to blogger from wordpress.  Honestly, this blogging thing is awfully complicated on wordpress.  This simple girl is just going to stick with what works.

I also didn't have internet for a weekish.  It's funny how much we rely on it.  I am pretty sure my family was one of the last to get the internet in our tiny little town when I was growing up.  I remember using things like THE LIBRARY or dictionaries, or even....reading a newspaper.  How is that for old fashioned?!

Anywho... I'm working on getting this blogging thing down, and will hopefully offer you more than just apologies.

PS:  What do you think of the new look?

Present and Disclosure Policy

“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”

― Henry David Thoreau
